Obama: Now Endorsed By Former Klansmen

As if Chris Buckley, the son of the father (the brother?) of Conservatism, endorsing Obama wasn't weird enough ...

After sowing the seeds of hatred,  John McCain is now trying to close pandora's box.  Seems the backlash has reached further than John McCain ever expected.

Maverick Palin Maverickly Violates Ethics

Rules and regulations are not meant for mavericks.

A report by an independent prosecutor around Troopergate was released yesterday and contains the statement: "I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110 (a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act."

Just in case you're wondering what 39.42.110(a) says:
(39.42.110 a) The legislature reaffirms that each public officer holds office as a public trust, and any effort to benefit a personal or financial interest through official action is a violation of that trust. In addition, the legislature finds that, so long as it does not interfere with the full and faithful discharge of an officer's public duties and responsibilities, this chapter does not prevent an officer from following other independent pursuits. The legislature further recognizes that
  1. in a representative democracy, the representatives are drawn from society and, therefore, cannot and should not be without personal and financial interests in the decisions and policies of government;
  2. people who serve as public officers retain their rights to interests of a personal or financial nature; and
  3. standards of ethical conduct for members of the executive branch need to distinguish between those minor and inconsequential conflicts that are unavoidable in a free society, and those conflicts of interests that are substantial and material.
John McCain was looking for more press:
But don't worry.  Before the official report was released, the McCain camp absolved their Maverick of all guilt.

Surprisingly, you have to search quite a bit to find the link on the drudgereport.

McCain's War on the Middle Class

Below is a telling graph of the amount of times the candidates used the words "middle class" during the last three debates.

The again, the below image might explain why McCain has such a problem saying the words middle class.

Economic Recovery via Beer Heiress

John McCain unveiled his new Economic Recovery Plan - Marry a rich beer heiress.

Luckly for us, John McCain has also provided his personal advice:
  1. Meet Beer Heiress 17 Years Your Junior
  2. Compliment $280,000 Earrings
  3. Intimidate Other Men Away From Her
  4. Buy Her Drinks
  5. Tell Her About Time in P.O.W. Camp
  6. Avoid Speaking About Your Current Wife
  7. Take Her To Your Room For Night of Love [gross]
  8. Marry Beer Heiress

Palin: Anti Abortion

Another great clip from Katie Couric's second interview shows Sarah Palin offering to convince victims of rape not to get an abortion.  Then again, in the state of Alaska, many of them even had to pay for their own rape kits.

This might be the most maverick move in history.

You might ask, what does charging people for a rape kit have to do with abortion?

A key piece of a rape kit is a morning after pill, to Palin, a form of abortion.

Too Busy to Blog

I ran back to washington to re-fix the bailout.

Re-Suspend my campaign, cancel the Palin debate, and will someone please help my poll numbers?  Just make sure you call Letterman in advance this time ...

I refuse to play the blame game, but it's all Obama's fault.

Peace,
JMac

If I Married a Rich Girl ...

John McCain sure is a lucky guy.  In 1980, he fell in love and married Cindy Lou Hensley, a beer heiress who is estimated to be worth over $100 million.
I don't blame McCain for not understanding regular Americans.  Even if he lost half his homes to foreclosures, John McCain would still have six $1 million plus properties to sleep in.

John McCain - Oh So Pretty

John McCain spends $5,583.43 to get his make-up done.

No wonder John McCain can't mention the middle class even once during his debate performance!

Palin: A fit of laughs

This would be funny if it weren't so serious.

I can't claim to be highly original on this one.  The last time a similar TV ad was played - 1968 when Nixon chose a young, inexperienced governor from Maryland, Spirow Agnew and that ended in Agnew's indictment for corruption.  Check out the older version:

We can only hope she takes the advice of conservative columnist Kathleen Parker for the sake of her country.

Palin On the Bailout: In Her Own Words

Yikes ...

Just in case you had to stop half way through the train wreck, here are the many things that are related to the $700 Billion bailout [in order].
  1. Healthcare reform
  2. Job creation
  3. Healthcare reform
  4. Reducing taxes
  5. Reigning in spending
  6. Tax reductions & relief
  7. Trade
  8. Jobs
  9. Opportunity
  10. Job Creation
It's like watching this scene in swingers:

This would be funny if it weren't so serious.  Sarah Palin, a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

The Last Billion Dollar Bailout

The last time the government had to bailout banks was in 1985 during the Savings and Loan Crisis which was estimated to cost the government between $200 and $500 billion.  Who paid that bill?  Once again, the taxpayers.

Interestingly enough, John McCain was also in the center of the last bailout as the last remaining Senator from the infamous Keating 5.

Charles H. Keating, Jr., was the chairman of Lincoln Savings and Loan Association which received favorable treatment from regulators after John McCain and four other Senators personally lobbied on behalf of Keating.

McCain and Keating's ties went beyond the casual congressional encounter.  Keating was deeply involved in business relationships with Cindy McCain.  In addition, Keating was considered a very close and personal friend of McCain's.

It's not surprising to know that McCain's top aides can once again be found in the center of this financial crisis.  Once again, McCain's leadership is nowhere to be found, running like a chicken without a head rather than showing strong leadership.  From "the fundamentals of our economy are strong" to "I continue to be proud of deregulation", John McCain remains more of the same.

Freddy MacCain

John McCain has spent most of this campaign lying about ... well, everything.  From lies around Obama's tax plan (which will only raise taxes on John McCain's heiress spouse), the despicable McCain commercial on Obama's stance to protect children from pedophiles, to the recent claims that somehow Obama not only lacks experience, but also caused the financial crisis.

McCain has spent his 25 odd years in politics fighting for deregulation, which allows one to understand why he has so forcefully and suddenly come out in favor of regulation.

Still, the best lies are the ones that backfire.  Quoth McCain "My campaign manager had nothing to do with Freddie Mac Since 2005 ... and I'll be glad to have his record examined by anybody who wants to look at it."

Oops ... it seems they did examine the record and found that the links went further than just his campaign manager
  • Rick Davis - Campaign Manager - received $15,000 monthly checks until last month from Freddie Mac, lobbied both Freddie and Fannie
  • Charles Black - Top Advisor - lobbyist for Freddie Mac
  • Wayne Berman - Fundraising manager - lobbyist for Fanny Mae
  • William Timmons, Sr. - Head of McCain's transition team - received $260,000 this year in unspecified work from Freddie Mac
The press woke up on this one including Newsweek, Bloomberg, Newsday, NY Times, Roll Call, and a bunch more.

And, we found a few more fun links to AIG, Freddie, Fanny, and more in the video below.  God bless you Bill Moyers

Picking on the Little Guy

Republicans hate a lot of different people (the poor, the colored, the huddled masses yearning to breathe free), but picking on community organizers seems antithetical.  Aren't the best politicians community organizers?  After all, isn't all politics local and most importantly representative of the people in a democracy?

I guess when you own a jet, 13 cars, and lost track of the number of houses, it's hard to care about those less fortunate.

And since you Mr. McCain are unable to care for those who require the most protection, here's our tribute to those who make the world a better place for those who  did nothing to deserve their fate.

My list of evil community organizers
  1. Everyone who has a name on the Declaration of Independence
  2. Jesus
  3. Mahatma Gandhi
  4. Martin Luther King Jr
  5. Nelson Mandella
  6. Mother Teresa

Reliving the old times: What Bush & I did during Hurricane Katrina

While most of New Orleans was drowning during Hurricane Katria, it was my 87th Birthday, and I celebrated with my best pal!!

Check out picture below:

President George W. Bush joins Arizona Senator John McCain in a small celebration of McCain's 69th birthday Monday, Aug. 29, 2005, after the President's arrival at Luke Air Force Base near Phoenix. The President later spoke about Medicare to 400 guests at the Pueblo El Mirage RV Resort and Country Club in nearby El Mirage. White House photo by Paul Morse

Some claim I was busy caring about the victims of the hurricane, but not on my birthday!  Don't trust me?  Check it out on the White House's official site:

The President never lies.

George McCain - More of the Same

I keep meaning to type John McCain.  Honest mistake.

Welcome to the John McCain more of the same blog where we feel it's time to expose the real John McCain, aka George Bush the third.

Let's start with one of our favorite topics: crazy preachers.  I know crazy black preachers are a lot more fun, but let's take a look at McCain's crazy preacher.

Signs of a crazy preacher
  1. Angry red face
  2. Loud screaming voice
  3. Usual war / destroy terminology
Btw, this is someone McCain considers his "Spiritual Leader."  He makes John Hagee look like a wuss.
